Blog Post. No. 1

Hello and welcome to my little blog.

You are probably thinking who is Iris May Designs and what is Iris May Designs all about?

My name is Sarah. I live in a small village in rural Somerset. Surrounded by farms, the wonderful smell of country air which just smells of manure majority of the time, where the village Church bells ring on a Wednesday evening for bell-ringing practice, where you actually speak and spend time with your neighbours. Enjoying fresh home grown produce and finally the joyous sounds of pigs and cows!

I've always had a love for the arts and crafts from an early age. I grew up with Art Attack, Tony Hart and the utterly wonderful Morph, Blue Peter and all the other grab a bottle of washing up liquid, paints, clothes pegs type programmes. I studied GCSE Art & Design and had the most wonderful inspirational teacher (hello Mrs Baker if you ever read this)!

After many years of having a 'dab' in lots of different things I now make jewellery from beads and enamel. I also love anything within the papercraft line, from handmade cards, scrapbook pages, wall art, gift tags, journals... the list goes on!

Fancy having a look at the 'stuff' I make then head on over to HERE http://folksy.com/shops/IrisMayDesigns!

Thanks for popping by, please say Hello! :)
